Maria Sortino

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Sortino. She passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born in Pachino, Sicily, on October 28, 1939, Maria was the beloved wife of Corrado and a devoted mother to Lucia, Silvia (husband Carlos), and Giuseppe. She will forever be cherished and remembered by her grandchildren Marco, Melinda, Sergio, and Annamaria, and her great-grandchildren Ava, Enzo, Arabella, Michele, and Bronson.

Maria was known for her incredible culinary skills and kind heart. Her Sunday dinners brought her family together with warmth and joy. She will never be forgotten.

Maria had close relationships with friends, neighbors, and family near and far. She was always considerate and generously gave love in many ways.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and tireless strength. Maria will be deeply missed by many friends, extended family, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
