Joseph Srdoc

April 3, 1933 – December 26, 2024

Joseph passed away peacefully in Ottawa on December 26, 2024. Born in Motovunski Novaki, Croatia, on April 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Giacomo Srdoc and Ana (Hreljak).
He is now reunited with his wife of sixty years, Romana, who entered heaven in 2018.

He is survived by his children Benito (Susan), Edward, and Gordon (Yolanda); his grandchildren Elizabeth, Jacob, and Daniel; his siblings Romanita, Gracjano, Ljubomir, and Zdenko.
He was predeceased by his brothers Izidor and Angelo and his sister Maria. Joseph will be dearly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Joseph worked as a barber in Ottawa from 1960 to 1998. In retirement, he enjoyed fixing and cleaning his home, bicycling the city, exercising at the gym, and often visiting Carlingwood Mall for coffee and strolls,
where he brightened the days of many with his smile and sense of humour. He is gone now but will never be forgotten.

A private service will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Services on Saturday, January 4, 2025. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at Cityview Retirement Home and
thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Cole Funeral Services.
