Gerhard "Gerry" Steiner
August 26, 1954 - October 18, 2024

On Friday, October 18, 2024, in his 70th year, Gerry Steiner passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

Gerry was a devoted husband to his wife of 44 years, Marie, and a loving father to his daughters Michelle (Ricardo) and Leanne (Max). He was a proud and caring grandfather to William, with another grandchild on the way. He is survived by his father George and sister Karing (Robert), and predeceased by his mother Hildegard.

Gerry will be sadly missed by his in-laws Rose, Sandra, Lea, John, and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law Jim and Ron, his nephew Matthew, and nephew-in-law Paolo.

Remembered as a true friend, colleague, and leader, Gerry maintained lifelong friendships and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He lived life to the fullest, with a love for dancing, unique taste in music, Formula 1, and spending time at the cottage. His final words to his family were, "I love you very much," and to his wife, "We had a good life."

A gathering will take place at McEachnie Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Susie & Roy Szabady shared: "Our deepest sympathies to you Marie and the family. Gerry was such a good person with a great sense of humor. I fondly remember our time on Reay Lake and the Homeworthy family."

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at McEachnie Funeral Home.
