Margaret Elizabeth Stenton

Margaret Elizabeth Stenton (née Greer) passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 23, 1947, in Kingston, Ontario, Margaret was the cherished daughter of the late Harold and Jean Greer.

Beloved wife of 55 years to John Stenton, Margaret was a devoted mother to Anne (David), Michael (Jennifer), and Sarah (James). Adored grandmother to Emily, Jacob, Charlotte, and Olivia, she brought joy and warmth to everyone she met.

Margaret lived her life with grace, compassion, and a deep love for her family. She will be remembered for her generosity, her love of gardening, and her dedication to community service. Her family and friends will forever cherish her memory.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Kingston Unitarian Fellowship, followed by a reception. Private interment to follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
