Nancy Gertrude Stock

January 22, 1939 - November 24, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Stock (née Tobin). Nancy passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, at Bear Creek Terrace in Petrolia, at the age of 85.

Loving mother of Jeffery Stock, Jennifer Green-Stock, and Greg (Cheryl) Stock. Cherished grandmother to Cameron (Haleigh), Patrick (Amy), Joey, and Maddison (Dyllon), and adoring great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren.

Nancy was born to Thomas and Cecile (Levesque) Tobin in Edmundston, NB, as part of a large family of 13 siblings. She was predeceased by her brothers Leo, Ray, Al, Ron, Gord, and Jackie; and sisters Noreen, Pat, Marlene, and Dorothea. She is lovingly remembered by her brother Tom (Tobey), sister Terena, brother-in-law Chuck, and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was a devoted and hardworking mother, known for her love of gardening, bowling, and old-school country music. Her career saw her rise from housekeeping to management at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She also dedicated time to community volunteering with the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, with a luncheon afterward at the Moose Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia. Memories and condolences may be shared at Smith Funeral Home.
