George Russell Stone

September 9, 1942 - December 27, 2024

Suddenly passed away at the Victoria Hospital-London Health Science Centre on Friday, December 27, 2024, in his 83rd year. Special friend of Lorraine Gauvin for many years. George will be missed by his brothers and sisters Gordon (Shirley Cox), Gloria (Gordon) Harrison, Grace Kobialka, Gary, Glen (Elisabeth Orth), Goldie Stone, and their families.

Predeceased by his parents William (1987) and Marguerite (2007) Stone, his sister Gayle (2016) and her husband Terry (2023) Ryder, sister-in-law Laurie (Middleton, 2023) Stone, niece Sheri Kobialka (2023), and brother-in-law Harold (2018) Kobialka.

Family and friends will be received at the Norwich United Church, 80 Main Street West, Norwich, ON, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Janice Pow. A reception will take place after the service.

Donations in memory of George may be made to the Norwich United Church or the Norwich Merchants Junior C Hockey Club.
