Pettie SuzannePETTIE, Suzanne Lin (nee Kelsey)  -  On Tuesday October 13, 2015 Sue passed away in her 61st year while in the comfort of her family.

Sue's energy and ability to make people smile will be sorely missed.

Suzanne Lin Pettie (née Kelsey), whose death is preceded by her parents Lloyd and Eileen Kelsey, Dianne Cookman Kelsey and sister Tracy, is survived by her sons, Tyson (Ruby) and Darcy (Lindsay), her husband David, her twin brother James and her brother Mitchell (Nancy).

She was a proud aunt to Daniel (Alana), Colleen (Allan), John (Kelsey), Richard (Beth) and Emily (Rick).

She was a compassionate and empathetic woman who always put others before herself. She found a special joy in meeting new people, having deep conversations with anyone and everyone, and never took for granted time spent with her family and her close friends. When loved ones found themselves in desperate times, Sue was always there.

She was the ultimate caregiver beginning at a young age and even during her last moments was worried about others needs above her own. She had a unique ability to connect to people, to put them at ease, and make them laugh. She was a fixture on Apple Down Drive and knew all of the neighbours, and their dogs well. Her love for animals was seen in her affection for her pets and most recently her grand puppy.

Sue was a volunteer for many years at R.G Sinclair P.S while her boys attended there, a longtime canvasser for the Cancer Society and worked the 50/50 at the Voyageurs hockey games for many years. She somehow always found time to lend a helping hand and had a charitable spirit.

Whether you know Sue as a dear friend or only as an acquaintance from a brief encounter, she will have left an impression on you. She was one of a kind. She always took the time to truly get to know you and make you feel special. All she ever wanted was for people to feel loved and to be happy and would have taken great joy knowing that everyone lives each day to the fullest. She will live on in our memories forever and will hold a special place in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, Ontario on Sunday, October 18th from 2 - 5pm and 7 - 9pm. A memorial service for family and close friends to attend will be on Monday, October 19th.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, Palliative Care (U.H.K.F.) in Sue's name would be appreciated by the family.
