Lojzka Louise Svetina (née Sustersic)

June 21, 1929 – December 29, 2024

In Loving Memory of Lojzka (Louise) Svetina (née Sustersic), who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Sunday, December 29, 2024, in her 96th year. Lojzka was the beloved wife of 67 years of the late Lojze (Louis). She was the loving mother of Christina (Gary Hull), Lucy (Val Končan), and Martha (late Ernie Grziničič). A cherished Mami, Stara Mama, and Super-Stara Mama, she leaves behind her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will always treasure her memory.

Lojzka’s kitchen was the heart of her family, where countless hours were spent sharing love, laughter, and delicious meals. Her tireless dedication to the Slovenian community, through fundraising and helping those in need, will never be forgotten. Her warmth, generosity, and love will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, January 5th, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Ridley Funeral Home, and again on Monday, January 6th, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am, with interment at Assumption Cemetery, Mississauga.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Dom Lipa or Viktoria Fund, causes that were dear to Lojzka’s heart.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Ridley Funeral Home.
