Ulla Swanberg passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the age of 85, peacefully with loved ones by her side.
Born in Linköping, Sweden, Ulla and her family immigrated to Canada in 1972. Ulla was the beloved wife for 62 years to the late Akke (2022), loving mother to Johan (Lauren) and the late Sonja (2024); and loving Mormor to Ashley (David) and Amanda (Michael). She was a proud great-grandmother to Lucia, August, Freja, River, and Abel. Ulla (& Akke) were dear friends to Mark & Erika Hobe and their children Kevin, Leanne, & Grace Naomi, lovingly including them in their family circle for almost 30 years.
Ulla supported her husband’s business for many years and made a great positive impact on many in the community through her faithful service in her local church. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at the Trulls Road Free Methodist Church, 2301 Trulls Road South, Courtice, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Service at 11:00 a.m. A Reception will follow the service at the church, and interment will follow the reception at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby.
Donations in memory of Ulla may be given to the Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care.
