Jeffrey Christopher Symons passed away in hospital on October 22, 2024, at the age of 66. Born in Bramalea, he spent most of his life in the Brampton area.

Jeff is survived by his daughter Courtney (Stephen Jardeleza) and son Cameron, as well as his brother Stephen (Lisa), sister Lisa (Larry Riehl), and their families. He loved his family deeply and took great joy in their closeness.

Jeff’s love for sports was legendary, rivaled only by his enjoyment of a well-cooked steak and a good game. Just days before his passing, he submitted his football picks and maintained his Fantasy Football team at the top of the league standings. As an early computer programmer, he applied his skills to everything from sports betting algorithms to creating the family’s Secret Santa Christmas list.

After enduring Crohn’s disease, a brief battle with invasive cancer, and a lifetime of chronic pain, Jeff is finally at peace. His family imagines him now in an eternal August, surrounded by fresh peaches, ripe corn, and the spirit of his beloved Symons Invitational family golf tournament.

Family and friends will gather for an intimate Celebration of Life on November 16, 2024, at Pioneer Hall, 714516 Middletown Line, Oxford Centre, from 2-4 PM.
