William August “Bill” Tabbert passed away at his home on Monday, December 23, 2024, in his 98th year. Beloved husband of 72 years to Grace Tabbert (nee Hammel). Loving father of Harold Tabbert (Sheila), Mark Tabbert, Ruth Lehman (Paul), Joan Lehman (David), and Douglas Tabbert. Cherished grandfather of Justin & Alyson; Heidi (Jason), Jamie & Kelsey; Ellen & Daniel; Lauren (Peter); and Logan & Madison, as well as his great-grandchildren.
Bill was the son of the late Frederick & Mary Tabbert (nee Gust) and dear brother of Hilbert Tabbert (Betty) and Barbara Kramer (Bob). He was predeceased by siblings Dorothy Zadow (late Rudy), Erma Edwards (late Grant), Edwin (late Pearl), Harold, Earl (Joan), Henry (Eleanor), Gerald (Lois), and Stanley (late Margaret) Tabbert. Bill is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Alice, on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with spring interment at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.
