Claudine Tabord

December 7, 1956 - December 2, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Claudine Tabord, in her 67th year, at St. Michael’s Hospital on December 2, 2024. Her sudden brain hemorrhage occurred while she was enjoying her latest passion—pickleball. By her side in her final moments were her husband, Sean, her son Max, and his wife Susan.

Claudine is predeceased by her parents Anna (nee Penon) and Armand Tabord of Aigle, Switzerland. Claudine leaves behind her loving husband Sean, her son Max and his wife Susan. She also leaves behind her brother Albert Tabord, his wife Judith, their daughter Alexandra, and Sean’s sister Denise.

Claudine had an adventurous path to Canada. She started out as a kindergarten teacher in Switzerland, then ventured to Canada to explore new horizons. There she met Sean and chose to stay. She opened her own shoe store and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges. Her greatest happiness came at the birth of her son Max. She will be sadly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Newcastle Funeral Home on December 14, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, where friends and family are invited to honour Claudine’s remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Michael’s Hospital, in gratitude for their compassionate care. Donations can be made at St. Michael’s Foundation.
