Selina Pearl Taylor (née Pilkey)

1928 – December 25, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Selina Pearl Taylor (née Pilkey) announces her peaceful passing at Ross Memorial Hospital on December 25, 2024. Pearl was in her 97th year and was the beloved wife for 67 years of the late Ivan Taylor.

Loving mother to Joseph (the late Carol) Taylor, Judy (John) Joyce, Jayne (Martin) Bircher, and John Taylor (Jody King). Dear grandmother to Lori (Jamie), Tammi-Jo (Chris), Jennifer (Mike), Jason (Marcy), Jillian, Nicholas, Kaitlin, and Sara. Cherished great-grandmother to Cassidy, Madison, Lincoln, Coltin, Quintin, Josie, Ashtin, Jorja, Jackie, Jessica, Tegan, and Dylan, and proud great-great-grandmother to Tobias and Myla.

Predeceased by her sister Georgina Stiner (Hillard), Pearl will also be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Fern Redshaw (Alvin), Irene Carnahan (Ron), and June Smith (George), and her brother-in-law Gord Taylor (Thelma). Aunt Pearl was deeply loved by her many nieces and nephews, and she will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and devotion to family.

Family and friends are invited to call at Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw Street South, Cannington, on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 186, 72 Peace Street, Cannington. Interment will take place at Claremont Union Cemetery in the spring of 2025.

As a remembrance, donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
