YAN, Teresa Lai-Ying (nee CHOW)   - Teresa passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Scarborough Health Network – Birchmount Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Wayne (Wing Hong) Yan.

She is survived by her children: Anne (John Olah); John (Linda); Peter (Leah Pressey); and Lucia.

As a beloved grandmother, she will be fondly remembered by Michelle (Stephen), Bryan (Sarah), Sarah (Marko), Scott, Mylana, Rakeem, Dylan and Coltrane.

She is also the cherished great-granny to Chloe, Evelyn, Sofia, Liliana and Ava. Born in Guangzhou China in 1936, shortly after arriving in Canada with her husband and young family in August 1962, Teresa embarked on a 15-year career as an educational assistant supporting kindergarten students at Ogden Public School with the Toronto Board of Education.

In 1977, she left education to enter the restaurant business with her husband Wayne until their retirement together.
