JARVIS, Thomas 'Archie' - With sadness, we announce the passing of Archie Jarvis, formerly of Boyne, on Monday, September 28, 2015.

Along with his brothers, Jim and Harold, Archie farmed the land pioneered by his great grandfather John Jarvis of County Tyrone Ireland cca.1830. In his youth, Archie was an avid fox hunter and ballplayer with the Omagh Softball Club.

When he retired from farming, he travelled widely with his brothers, John and James. In 1989, Archie and James moved to their new home in Ennismore where they found good neighbours and fields to walk. Archie came back home to Milton in 2009 where he lived with John until his death.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Pat, Helen, Charlene, Jim, Edythe and Harold. He was a good and honourable son, protective and nurturing brother, generous and ever-present uncle. Archie will be missed by his brother John and three generations of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME, 114 Main St. E., Milton, Ontario from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, October 1st. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 2nd at 11am.

As expressions of sympathy, a donation in memory of Archie to the Canadian Hearing Society would be appreciated by the family.
