Hunter with rifle and deer antlers in forest

Wallace Gordon Tidd

May 5, 1928 - November 16, 2024

After a short illness, Wallace passed peacefully at Ed’s House on November 16, 2024. He was 96 years old. Wallace leaves behind his loving wife, Myrtle, of 73 years, and his four children: Shelia (Tug), Candy (Buzz), Mary (Tony), and Wally (Cheryl).

He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Fred, Laura (Darren), Steve, Theresa (Chris), Niki (Travis), Ryan, Nina (Chris), Johnathan, Troy, Adam, and the late Richie. Wallace also cherished his many great-grandchildren, including Joel (Emily), Adam, Kyle, Caleb, Bailey, Madison, Grace, Vaughn, Danielle, Faith, Alex, and Owen.

Predeceased by his parents, Pearl and John Tidd, Wallace is reunited with his siblings: Vinald Tidd, Johny Tidd (Goldie), Gene Tidd (Doreen), Leora Nancarol (Fred), and Marjorie Parker (Norma).

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Wallace spent the early part of his life there before moving his family to Ontario in 1957. He built a beautiful life as a dedicated truck driver, a career he pursued for over 50 years before retiring. He maintained a deep passion for hunting and fishing, which took him back to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland many times with friends and family.

Wallace was a prankster with a love for jokes and a strong belief in the motto "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"—core and all. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by many.
