Dr. John Stephen Tomas, retired in 2014 after practicing medicine for over 50 years in Oshawa, passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Eleanor (2015). He was the much-loved and devoted Tata of Karen Tomas and her partner Larry, and Diane Tomas and her partner Gerry. Cherished Dziadzia of Hope and Melissa, and Great Dziadzia of Sawyer. Survived by his brother, Michael Tomas, and his wife Rita.
Family and friends are invited to visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N., Whitby, on Monday, November 11th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 130 Watford Street, Brooklin, on Tuesday morning, November 12th, at 11:00 a.m.
