TONEGUSSO, William Thomas (Bill) - Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Lapointe-Fisher Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, in his 81st year. 

Beloved husband of the late Norma (nee Vaughan, 2001). 

Loved father of Jayne (the late Bryan) Speers, Sandra Tonegusso and Judy Tonegusso (Brian McGaw). Loving grandfather of Carla (Holly), Brett (Colleen), Corey (Johanna), Alisha (Johnny) and Mitchel. Great grandfather of Hanna, Declan, Patrick and Chloe. 

Predeceased by his son Tony Tonegusso, his brother Jack and his sisters Effie and Lil.  

Bill was drafted into the Canadian Football League by the Edmonton Eskimos and signed with them at the age of 17. He was then traded to the Montreal Alouettes where he played in the 1956 Grey Cup against his old team, the Eskimos. He is currently a member of the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame.  He was a founding member of the Guelph Minor Football Association.
