LIDDLE, Jeannie Ritchie - (March 4, 1932 - July 1, 2020) -
Jean was born on March 4, 1932, in Edinburgh, Scotland, to David and Nelly McIntee. Her much loved siblings were Helen, Maureen and David.
She married (Ian) John Dryden Liddle in 1953 and their daughter, Kareen Mary, was born the next year. In 1957, they made the brave decision to move to Canada and leave their loved-ones behind.
Within two years, they bought their first home, in Brampton. Their son, David, was born in 1961.

Between Lorna’s 9, and Perce’s 10 siblings, 17 in laws and many nieces and nephews, Lorna was much loved and recognized as one who truly kept the families together. Lorna was the hostess of many important occasions, most notably, of Christmas Eve since 1967!

WATSON, Victoria J. (nee GENOVESE) - Victoria, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on July 1, 2020.
Prior to retirement, she worked as a registered nurse at the Cheshire Home in Madison, N.J. and worked with paraplegics. She was loved by her patients, some of whom called her "ma".

CARBONE, Rosina - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Humber River Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in her 91st year.
Rosina is now reunited with her beloved husband, Michele.
Born in Rovito, Cosenza, Italy on January 14, 1930, Rosina was a woman of courage and great strength. Having immigrated to Canada in 1956, Rosina along with her husband, provided an abundance of nurturing love, care and affection to their four sons.

FERNANDES, Rita Martha - Passed away suddenly but peacefully in her 85th year on July 1, 2020 at Bethany Lodge, Unionville in the presence of her beloved husband Anthony Fernandes.
Rita also known as Martha by her family was born in Karachi, Pakistan. Her parents were originally from Goa, India and imparted a strong Roman Catholic faith that she passionately devoted herself to.
She married Tony and they were blessed with three daughters. They made the courageous decision to better their lives and those of their children by immigrating to Toronto in 1970.

DONAGHY, Greg - September 8, 1961 - July 1, 2020
Gregory (Greg) Owen Donaghy died peacefully, on July 1, 2020, at the Ottawa Heart Institute, a week after suffering a heart attack.
Greg leaves behind Mary, his wife of nearly 28 years, his children Katherine (Katie), Michael and Stephen.
With them in mourning are his mother, Maureen, sisters Mary (Margaret) and Fionnuala (Philippe) and his many sisters- and brothers-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is also mourned by Mary's parents Ron and Dawn Shephard.

CHALMERS, Robert N. Chalmers, (known as Bert) - Was born January 7, 1941 in Fraserburgh, Scotland.
During WWII, he survived enemy bombing with only two broken legs and an arm while his mother and sister were both killed.
This incident helped define Bert's life, particularly his faith and his drive to succeed.
Bert is survived by his wife and best friend, Liz; two sons, David (Pauline) of Oakville and John of Milton.
He was the proud grandfather of Lauren, Regan, Shannon and Travis.

Throughout her life she served with passion and commitment enabling and promoting the welfare and well-being of children and young people.
When called upon, she always rose and shone, touching the lives of many people.

Ruby (Cecilia) Lee (originally from Guyana) was one of billions of moms around the world, but she meant the universe to me. If you knew her the way I did, you would know she is one special lady.
I could fill volumes of books about her life: like the story starting with a stranger pulling her lifeless body from a trench when she was just a kid and being revived by this random stranger, who died a few days later. Did he trade his life for my mother to be?
