MORRISON, Paul Douglas - March 16, 1938 to January 29, 2019.
High school teacher; science, math, special needs and attendance counsellor for the North York Board of Education; longtime Board member at the North York Credit Union; tractor-trailer driver; sawmill and farm worker.
Passed away peacefully at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 29th at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Son of the late Marion and Douglas Morrison and nephew of the late Marty and Noel Plumb.
Loving husband of Dianne Noseworthy whom he met when they were 15 and 19 and who were married for 55 years. Paul loved his family and his pride and joy were his two talented, creative, athletic daughters, Heather and Karen, his wonderful son-in-law, Marc Pocobelli, and his beloved granddaughters, Ellen, Olivia and Aria. According to Heather, Paul was the perfect father.
For Karen and Aria, he was a fun-loving and caring grandfather.
Paul grew up in Leaside and was a star hockey player all his life. He hung up his skates at 78 after a heart attack.
Paul was blessed to have the Leaside group of Greg, Bruce, John, David as friends since kindergarten.
He was so loved and will be so missed by his family and friends, his brother-in-law John and sister-in-law Wendy and his many close friends in the teaching, hiking and hockey world; but, no one will miss him as much as Dianne.Private family funeral.
