PENCE, Joan Marie (Dowthwaite) - On Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021, Joan, in her 90th year.
Beloved daughter of the late Harry Vernon Dowthwaite and his wife Ella Elise Perkins; sister of the late Ralph (Ellen).
Predeceased by her husband Paul (1981) and her dearly loved friend Gordon Weiske (2014).
Much loved mother of Carole and David (2002) and adored Nana of Tate, James and Caroline Garron and Brendan Pence.
Loved mother-in-law of Mark Garron and Kellie Pence.
Dear cousin of Sheila McGuinness (England) and dear aunt of Marilyn-Louise Ridley and Linda Ciccozzi, as well as other nieces and nephews.
Lifelong friend of Joan Nichols, June Rom-Roginski and the late Joyce Brown.
She will be greatly missed.
A private funeral will be held on Thursday, April 22nd, her birthday, at St. John’s York Mills Anglican Church by invitation.
Donations in Joan’s memory may be sent to Princess Margaret cancer research.
