Carr DorisCARR, Doris Jean (nee HENDERSON)   - Doris passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Scarborough General Hospital, in her 94th year.

Beloved wife of William "Bill" Carr (2015).

Daughter of the late Elizabeth (nee Kennedy) and Joseph "Percy" Henderson.

Predeceased by sisters Betty Whitehead and Ruth Gorsline. Survived by her brother Jim Henderson (Nora nee Whitehead).

Much-loved aunt of Helen, Bob, Eleanor, Stanley, Ward, Bob, Bruce, Marianne, Nancy, David, Cheryl, Janice, Bill and Janet. Doris grew up and lived in Birch Cliff.

She was a good cook, enjoyed researching her family tree, and maintaining her home and garden on Avalon Boulevard, until moving to McCowan Retirement Residence recently.

Along with neighbours, Doris was an original gardener for the Avalon Parkette on Kingston Road. She was athletic, playing golf, all types of bowling, and curling.

Doris curled on a team that won third place in the Ontario Seniors Division.

A special thank you to her PSW, Marjorie, and all of the staff at McCowan RR for the care and friendship you provided.

A graveside service for family members will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens when COVID-19 restrictions permit.
