McNABB, Barbara Jean - On December 20, 2023, at Lakeshore Lodge, in Toronto, Barbara passed away peacefully, at the age of 101.
Predeceased by her brother, Allan; Barbara will be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews, David (Kate), Andrew (Anne), Janice and Marcia (Nezam).
Barbara was born and raised in Toronto, where she attended North Toronto Collegiate and graduated from the University of Toronto in 1944.
She had a successful career as an editor then in public relations, starting with Ryerson Press followed by her own firm, McNabb Public Relations.
Barbara had a reputation as a tough and determined businesswoman with very high standards for herself and her associates.
During her retirement, Barbara spent a number of years in rural southwestern Ontario, where she pursued her interests around specialty farming and her Scottish heritage.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at both Sunrise Richmond Hill and Lakeshore Lodge that provided such excellent care to Barbara.
