McDonell SandraMcDONELL, Sandra "Sandie" (nee SANDRIN)  -

November 4, 1941 - March 5, 2024

Sandie passed away peacefully, on March 5, 2024, in New Westminster, BC, surrounded by her family.

Sandie was a successful, independent woman who enjoyed her retirement, continuing education in various art forms; appreciating the performing arts, museums, music in many varieties, as well as socializing.

Sandie's hobbies included reading, cooking, gardening and the outdoors.

She enjoyed travelling, especially to Europe and took many trips to New York with her grandchildren.

Sandie always said her greatest accomplishment was her family. Her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren, collectively looked after her lovingly during her last few years.

We will forever cherish the memory of our Mom, Aunty, Grandma, Bisa Nona, and Sister. She was our leader, confidante, cheerleader, teacher and role model.

Daughter, Kathryn (Jeff); son, Bill (Shaneena); grandchildren, John (Parneeta) Anthony, Isabella, and Mateo; great-grandson, Theodore; nephews, David, Doug, Dale, Alesandro, and Ryan; and brother, Leonard Sandrin.

An intimate celebration of life was held with family.
