Koutlemanis EliKOUTLEMANIS, Elissavet (ELLI) (nee TAVANTZIS)  - May 28, 1945 - January 26, 2018

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Elli Koutlemanis at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.

Surrounded by her loving family, she will be missed dearly by her devoted husband of 55 years, Odysseas.

Daughter of Eleni and George Tavantzis (deceased) of Kastoria, Greece.

Adored mother to Tammy (Randal), Helen, Nick (Antonia) and Maria. Proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren; Julien (Kaila), Tasha (Julian), Peter, Krystina, Elizabeth, Maria, Angelo, Elisa and 2 step-grandsons. Loving sister of Kosta (Tanoula), Nikos (Anna) Tavantzis and Katina (Taki) Diamantis including their children and the entire Koutlemanis family in Argos Orestikon, Greece.

Elli was dedicated to her family and motivated us to be our best.

She will fondly be remembered for her strength and tenacity to overcome adversities. Her extraordinary selflessness, her giving nature and unique personality lit up any occasion.

Her love of Greek music and dance was evident by being the first one on the dance floor. Her contagious smile and passion for life brought joy and laughter to our lives. She devoted herself to helping others and was an inspiration to us all. Elli was an active member of the Society of Kastorian "Omonoia" Toronto and tirelessly volunteered at the Hellenic Home for the Aged for 18 years.

Taken from us too soon, she leaves us with a legacy filled with love and everlasting memories. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral (136 Sorauren Ave., Toronto). Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honour of her name to the Hellenic Home for the Aged, 33 Winona Drive, Toronto, ON.
