READ, David Frederick - Passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at North York General Hospital in his 69th year.
Cherished husband of Sharon for 46 years. Beloved father of Matthew.
Loving grandpa of Quinn.
Brother of Linda Kruuk (Peter). Uncle of Bryan (Izumi), Stephanie (Anthony) Coccimiglio.
Great-uncle of Hanah, Ivy, Thomas and Calissa. Son-in-law of Corinne Pentland. Brother-in-law of Maureen (Dave) Calhoun and their children, Colleen and John and Joanne Pentland.
Dave worked for Ontario Hydro for 26 years as well as Laidlaw (First Student) as a Driver Trainer for 20+ years. Dave was a member of Scouts Canada and recipient of Silver Acorn.
Dave was involved with Ducks Unlimited Canada for 40 years. He coached hockey with Thornhill Hockey League and the Hillcrest Summits.
He coached soccer for the Thornhill Soccer League. He was very active in his church, Trinity Anglican.
Friends will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, Markham, on Sunday, February 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Monday, February 5th at Trinity Anglican in Bradford at 2 p.m. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Prostate Cancer Canada or the Trinity Anglican Church would be appreciated.
