Huestis PatriciaHUESTIS, Patricia Sue (nee MURRAY)  - On Sunday, May 20, 2018, we lost our gentle, kind and precious mother, Patricia "Sue" Huestis (nee Murray).

Predeceased by her husband, Richard Huestis (1984) and her partner, Alan Glenn (2002).

Mom came into this world on August 14, 1935, born in Sault Ste. Marie, first child of Eugene and Kathleen Murray.

She is survived by her siblings, Jimmy (Maggie), Sallie (Bruce – deceased) and Sharon (Chris), her children, Mark (Sandy), Paul (Janella) Christopher (Lilly), Lisa (Tom) and Todd (Cristina).

She will be remembered by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Kurtis), Michelle (Scott), Jordan, Daniel, Quinn, Melissa and Grace, as a loving and supportive Nana, her great-grandchildren, Brooke and Rafe and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Our mother was an intelligent and accomplished woman.

She was a lover of animals, books, travel, family and chocolate. She enjoyed a successful career at The Toronto Stock Exchange and Carswell Publications.

Sadly, Mom was stolen from us years earlier by Alzheimer's Disease, a horrible and unforgiving illness. For this reason, and if desired, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of York Region.

We would like to thank our Aunt Sharon - not only Mom's sister, but her closest friend in the past years – for everything she was to Mom, we will be forever grateful.

A special thank you to the care our mother received at Southlake Residential Care Village – 3 West. Cremation has taken place.

Friends and family are invited to join us at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery (305 Erskine Avenue, Toronto) for a service at Mom's final resting place on Saturday, June 9th at 1:30 p.m.

The song is ended but the melody lingers on…..Life has to end. Love doesn't.
