Ron passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa, surrounded by the love of his family, after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 84.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Joan (née Bowen).
Loving father of Janet (Martin) Joncas, Leanne (Darren) McAlister and predeceased by son Brian (2006) and daughter-in-law Kim (2014).
Proud Grandpa and Poppa of Jennifer, Jessica, Matthew and Marissa.
Dear brother of June (Len) Beeston.
He will be missed by his sister-in-law Norma Bruce and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends may call at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 11:30 am until time of service in the chapel at 1:00 pm.

GILL, Hilda Mary (nee RYAN) - It is with immense sadness and a heavy heart we announce the passing of a dear mother and grandmother Hilda Mary Gill on November 9, 2015.
Her gentle nature and warm smile will be missed by all.Predeceased in 1977 by her husband Albert John Gill, Hilda was the loving mother of Jean Ann, Mary Maureen Patricia (deceased), John Anthony and Carole Magdalene (deceased).
She was also surrogate mother to her granddaughter Christine Elizabeth Logan.Hilda was the eldest of six children born to James Ryan and Jeannie Williams on September 18, 1916 in Cochrane, ON.
Predeceased by her siblings Eva Grace Ann, Sylvia (Tiggy) Margarite, Hazel Katherine (Kay), Dorothy (Dolly) Edna and Hugh David.Grandmother to 16, great-grandmother to 29 and great-great-grandmother to nine.
She will be specially missed by grandchildren Joseph, David, Katherine, Ken and Greg Connors (Kathy) and Jocelyn Ubaldino (Sandro); her great-grandchildren Sean Connors, Michelle Wolfe, Robert Kawa (Tracy), Cory Kawa (Jennifer), Meghan Einarson (Markham), Kali Douramakos (Matt), Jennifer Connors, Giancarlo and Laura Ubaldino, Christine Logan and her nine great-great-grandchildren Amanda, Jessica, Jacob, Kaiya, Hunter, Elisha, Noa, Violet and Charlotte.

CHARLES, Dr. Cathy - April 12, 1947 - November 9, 2015
Cathy passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital in her 69th year.
She lived courageously and gracefully with lung disease for many years.
Predeceased by her parents Betty and Bruce, she leaves behind her sister Mary and brother-in-law Jim, her nieces and nephew, Katie (Chris), Chuck (Rebecca) and Amy (Bill), her eight great-nieces and -nephews, as well as her second family, Rhonda, Julian and Alexa Tanner.
She also leaves behind a group of friends whose loyalty and love for Cathy is unmatched. Cathy attended Havergal College, the University of Toronto where she received a BA and an MA in Sociology, and Columbia University where she earned an M.Phil. and a PhD in Socio-Medical Sciences.
A service of remembrance will be held at Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Avenue, on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.
