POWELL, Margaret Irene (nee Pascoe)Passed away peacefully at Fairview Lodge Whitby on Tuesday September 29th, 2015 at the age of 92.

Dearly loved wife of the late Kenneth Powell (2003)

Much loved mother of Garry Powell and his wife Pat of Columbus, Diane Lambert (late Al) of Oshawa and Judy Rogers and her husband Bill of Armstrong B.C.

Loved grandmother of Shelley (Lars), Steven (Emily), Gerald (Kristine), Luke (Kim) and Rahul (Erin). Great grandmother of Matthew, Ryan, Jacob, Rachel, Eric, Marley and Phoenix.

 

Survived by her sister Eileen Crouch and her husband Harvey of Oshawa. Sister-in-law of Barbara Pascoe, Betty Pascoe and Margaret Pascoe. Pre-deceased by her brothers Kenneth, Ronald, Earl (late Mildred), Carl and her sister Doris (late Arthur)

Aunt Marg, will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby from 12 Noon Thursday (Oct 8th) until time of memorial service in the Barnes Chapel Thursday at 2:00 p.m.

Private family interment, will follow at Groveside Cemetery.

Bbeloved wife of Jim Cooper of Fergus ON.

Daughter of Jack Clarke (Judy) and Flora Clarke (nee Leavens).

Predeceased by Brother Ashley Clarke.

Loving Mother to Mark (April George), Crystal (Adam Wiltshire), Robert (Karen).

Will be greatly missed by grandchildren Lilliana, Mavado, Colton, Atreyu and Robin also her Brother Leslie Clarke and Sister Barbara Dobbs (Richard).

Fondly remembered by her Brother and Sister in-laws, Uncles, Aunts, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Amy touched many lives in her time here all of who will love and cherish these memories.

Family and friends will be received for a celebration of her life on Saturday August 8th at Mount Forest Victory Arena, 320 King St E, Mount Forest. ON between 1 - 5pm.

Bill was the son of the late Tom and Ella Hammond.

Sadly missed by his sister Gwen Ingram (George) and his brothers Alfred and Bob.Predeceased by his brother Glen.

Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held at CLAREMONT BAPTIST CHURCH on Thursday, October 8 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.

Cremation will follow.

Peacefully at the Tony Stacey Centre for Veteran's Care on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in his 100th year.

Beloved husband of the late Wanda.

Loving father of Ken (Shirley), Darlene, Alan (Tina), Gord (Jennifer), Heather (Mike) and Sherry (Glen). Dear grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Sadly missed by his sister-in-law Frances. Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the ST. ANDREW'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (35 Church St. Ajax) on Friday, October 2 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a service to follow in the Chapel of the Church at 11:00 am.

Herb will be laid to rest with Wanda in Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens, Ajax.

Passed peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the age of 68.

Deeply cherished and beloved wife of Raymond Blais for almost 50 years.

Loving mother of Julie (Doug) and Steve (Paula) and adored Nana of James, Erin, Emma and Torrie.

Held dear by her siblings Gilles (Huguette), Noëlla (Maurice), Michel (Colette), Jesse (Claudette), Reg (Diane), Lorraine, Ron (Diane), and Andy (Lisa). Predeceased by sisters Raymonde (André) and Marie (Connie). Will be sadly missed by dear friend Sheila (Doug) and a large extended family and many friends with whom she shared much fun and laughter.

Special thanks to the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Pancreatic Cancer Canada.

Beloved wife of the late Ivan Morrison. Dear mother of Carol Day (Ralph) and Marilyn Peters (Leo). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kim Hurst (Ron), Heather Day, Brendan Peters (Julie) and Brook Peters (Mélanie) and by her great-grandchildren Mitchel Hurst, Meghan Hurst, Sydney Peters, Makenna Peters and Loïc Peters.

Predeceased by her parents Murray and Emma Greentree. Lorraine will be forever remembered for her gentle smile.

She had a tremendous love for her parents, husband, children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a Lifetime Member of UCW, Fellowship Unit, Kingsview United Church.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, October 1st from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:00 noon.

OLNEY, Dorothy Christina Olney Obituary

Olney DorothyOLNEY, Dorothy Christina – It is with great sadness that Dorothy Olney, formerly of Georgetown, Ontario, passed away so suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital on September 29, 2015 in her 86th year, surrounded by love from her family and with special care from her cousin Krista Myers and family.

Dorothy is predeceased by all her own family; her parents, Percy and Evelyn (Hosker) Olney, and her sisters Jean and Norma Olney. She is survived by many cousins.

Dorothy was a longtime employee of The Bell Telephone Company for 41 years as a telephone operator.  

Friends will be received on Friday, October 2nd at J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road (north of Maple Avenue) Georgetown, Ontario from 12:00 noon until the time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Reverend Rob Park Officiating. Interment to be followed by a reception celebrating Dorothy’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, or to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Beloved wife of Thomas (Tom) Nickson for 64 years.

Loved mom of Rick Nickson and his wife Melanie of Whitby, and Kevin Nickson and his wife Anna of Guelph.

Cherished by her grandchildren Kevin, Christina, Meghan and Thomas.

Lovingly remembered by her sister Phyllis Russell (James) of Toronto and sister-in-law Dorothy Neal (William) of Niagara Falls.

Kathleen will be missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

PETROVSKY, John Paul Petrovsky Obituary

Petrovsky JohnPETROVSKY, John Paul - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Petrovsky on Tuesday September 29, 2015, after battling cancer with quiet dignity.

John was a strong and dependable man who was loved by many.  His life changed over two years ago when he met the second love of his life, Yvonne Rolland. This very special woman gave him the happiest two years, and Yvonne and her family will miss him every day.  His son Bruce (Sharon) will forever remember his “Pops”.

He also leaves behind a daughter, Bonnie.  Grandchildren Heather (Al), Jamie (Brie), Corey (Karen), Ashley (Milad) and Kayla (Mike), whose lives were all bettered because of him, will miss him always. Great grandchildren Cori, Mason, Taryn, DJ, Kate, Calvin, Colton, Caden, and Emma have gained a guardian angel in their Grandpapa as he now watches over them.

Friends are too many to mention, but his sister-in-law Eleanor will miss her Vegas companion, and Joe will be lost without his best bud.

As per John’s wishes, private cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

Predeceased by her parents, Renis and Marie, her husband Larry, and her daughter Sherry.
