Mr. Facey was a lover of knowledge, and spent hours privately researching historical events that were of great significance, particularly pertaining to the Caribbean and Canada. Mr. Facey loved to laugh and smile and took everything in stride, always pleasant and a great friend to many. Mr. Facey was a great writer, and up until he was no longer able to, enjoyed practicing calligraphy.

Mr. Facey was loved by many, and was proud to have been a father, grandfather and father-in-law; he took great pride in knowing that each and every one of his children and grandchildren were loved by him. There are countless memories and stories that we have to share with each other and with our family and friends because of the legacy of advocacy, courage, strength and sense of humor that Mr. Facey has left behind. The future is bright because of his love for his family.

Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1975 Mr. Facey worked as a Customs Officer in Jamaica at the Norman Manley International Airport. Upon migrating to Canada, Mr. Facey began working for the government of Saskatchewan as a Correctional Officer in Regina, Saskatchewan. Mr. Facey moved to Ontario in 2011 and spent the last years of his life watching his grand-children grow and instilling valuable lessons in them about confidence, knowledge and patience. Mr. Facey was a story-teller, a charismatic gentleman and was the marrying kind..He will be greatly missed.

"Please join us in celebrating the life of Mr. Norris Facey, father, grandfather, friend and always the charismatic gentleman"
