SNOWDEN, COLLEEN (nee Murphy) –  Passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the age of 77 years. 

Colleen, beloved wife of David. 

Loving mother of Joe, Kim and Sandi (Brian).  Loved grandmother of Tom (Tina), Adam, Ethan, and great-mother of Jasmine, Katie, Tommy and Abbey. 

Dear sister of Jim (Joan), Eva (Wayne), Vickie and late Marilyn, Anna, Mike and Pat. 

Colleen will be sadly missed by the Murphy and Snowden families and many friends. 

Visitation will be held at the   MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 10 – 11 a.m. 

A memorial Service will be held at the MORRIS CHAPEL on Saturday at 11 a.m.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Thomas Park announces his passing on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the age of 84 in Ajax Hospital.

Tom will be greatly missed by his two sons, James and Thomas and will always be cherished by his loving grandchildren: Veronica, Samantha, Nathaniel, Alexander,

Harrison and Naomi. Tom will be fondly remembered by his brothers, William and John and sister Marion (May) and nieces and nephews near and far away. Cremation has taken place.

A gathering of family and friends and a Service to Celebrate Tom’s Life will be held at THE McEACHNIE FAMILY CENTRE (adjacent to the Funeral Home) 20 Church St. N., Ajax (Pickering Village – 905-428-8488) on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 1 pm to 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers a donation in Tom’s memory to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation donate.sunnybrook.ca will be acknowledged.

DESROSIERS, Christiane -   On September 23, 2015 in Rwanda, where she decided to start a new life,

Christiane Desrosiers lost her long battle against cancer.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Emmanuel Bajeneza, her mother and father Gisèle Ross and Gaétan Desrosiers (Véronique Gagné).

She will also be dearly remembered by her brothers and sisters (Danie, Michel, Alain, Nathalie and their spouces), aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and many Canadian and Rwandan friends.

Passed away at Strathaven Lifecare Centre, Bowmanville with her family at her side, on Tuesday September 22nd, 2015 at the age of 86.

Beloved wife of the late Russell E. Healey.

Loving mother of Diane Booth and her husband Alan, and Barbara Sully and her husband Bruce.

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jeffrey, Hilary, Kathleen and Nicholas. Dear sister of Gordon MacLean and his wife June, and Robert (Bob) MacLean and his wife, the late Mary. Sister-in-law of Marguerite Evans and the late Rosie Mack.

Margaret’s family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor at Strathaven for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Margaret.

Majoros LouisMAJOROS, Louis Otto “Lou” - Passed away peacefully after a short, but valiant battle with cancer at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, September 20th, 2015.

Much loved husband and soulmate of Lynn for 59 years, who dearly cherished this amazing lovable gentle man.

Dedicated dad of Shawn (Sandra), Darren, and Jodi-Lynn (Don). Proud Grampa of Drake (Laura), Michael, Jeremy, Tyler, Angela and Daniel. Happy to be the great-grandfather of Lilyann. Loving brother-in-law of Dean Douglas. Adored uncle of Caroline and Steven.

As a young man, Lou was honoured to serve in the Canadian Navy for 5 years, followed by a successful career as an electronic technician and outstanding sales manager with Andrew Antenna Canada.

Lou was a dedicated family man who enjoyed coaching baseball and refereeing high school football for 20 years. He travelled extensively worldwide. He was also an accomplished musician, playing violin in the Concordia Pops and Hungarian Gypsy Orchestra.

Lou enjoyed several years of good times skiing with the family at the chalet in Beaver Valley. He was very giving of his own time, giving back to his community, being in Kiwanis Club and driving the Senior Citizens Bus. In his later years he enjoyed golfing and socializing at his winter home in Old Bridge Village, Florida.

Many lives were positively impacted by this man.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, September 22nd from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.

The family invites friends to a Memorial Service to celebrate Lou’s Life in the Chapel on Wednesday, September 23rd at 2:30 p.m.

She will also be remembered by her church family.

The family will receive friends at the Claremont First Baptist Church (1790 Central Street, Claremont) on Sunday October 4, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m.
