Trachsler, Mina. Passed away on December 26th, 2024, at the age of 96. Pre-deceased by her husband John (1999). Much loved mother of John and his wife Caroline, Mary Ann Dolstra and her husband Brant, Bernard and his wife Margaret, Florence Dadson and her husband Larry, Martin and his wife Joanne, and Marilyn Frank and her husband Neil.

Cherished Oma of Paul, Matthew, Danielle, Lucas, Stuart, Derek, Michael, Melissa, Jennifer, Wendy, Mitchell, Mckenzie, Abbey, and Kendra. Great Oma of 16. Mina will be remembered by her siblings in Canada and the Netherlands as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation will take place at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd N, Whitby, on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service in the Barnes Chapel at 12:30 p.m. Mina will be laid to rest beside her husband at Groveside Cemetery.

In memory of Mina, memorial donations to SickKids Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Service Details:

  • Visitation: Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd N, Whitby.
  • Funeral Service: Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in the Barnes Chapel.
  • Interment: Private family interment will follow the service at Groveside Cemetery, 5155 Baldwin St., Whitby.
  • Reception: A reception will take place at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home following the interment.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home.
