Miles Trodd

July 15, 1952 ~ April 26, 2025 (age 72)

Passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Patti for 25 wonderful years. Devoted father to Quinton (Emma), Quade (Mel), Kendra (Chris), Joe (Mar), Cat (Karl), and Mandy (Jason).

Loving grandfather of Ryker, Cash, Ellie, Olivia, Jaclyn, Anthony, Portia, Cruz, Mercedes, Jurnee, and Gage. Dear brother of Stan, Reg (Joanne), and brother-in-law Harold. Predeceased by his parents Urena and Leonard, and his sister Gwen. Deeply missed by his cherished fur babies, Skye and River.

Miles was a co-founder of LS&M Welding, which proudly celebrated 50 years in business this year. Following a brief retirement, he discovered a passion for target shooting. He loved competing and sharing that experience with his brother Reg, son Quinton, and daughter Kendra. As a member of the Cannington and Haliburton Gun Clubs, he was passionate about perfecting his aim and thoroughly enjoyed every moment on the range.

Miles lived for his family. He could often be found cheering on his grandchildren at hockey games, soccer matches, gymnastics events, or dance recitals. He was always ready to lend a hand and offered his unwavering support to those he loved. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Miles will be remembered with deep affection and missed profoundly.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sunderland Arena Auditorium, 20 Park St., Sunderland, on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Donations in Miles' memory may be made to the SickKids Foundation or the Cannington Gun Club.
