Jennifer Mary Yvonne Turner
1986 - 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jennifer Mary Yvonne Turner (née Pickett) announce that she has gone to be with her Lord in Heaven. After a three-year battle with lung cancer, Jenn peacefully passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, Ontario.
Jenn was born in Clinton, Ontario, on February 28, 1986, to Gordon Pickett and the late Shari Lynn Salive (deceased October 2024). She is deeply mourned by her loving husband Hanson Turner, their cherished daughter Faith, and son Elijah.
She will be sadly missed by her sisters: Anita Pickett-Thomas (Don Thomas), Renaye Pickett, Chantel Pickett (Dan Hurbert), and her stepbrother Douglas Schadler. Jenn is also lovingly remembered by her parents-in-law, Karen Smith Turner and Steve Smith.
A devoted member of Emmanuel Community Church of Port Perry, Scugog Bikers Church, and Kawartha Lakes Bikers Church, Jenn touched many lives through her faith, compassion, and generosity. The overwhelming love shown by her church communities in her final days was a testament to the impact she had on those around her.
Jenn was a remarkable woman—more than a friend, she was a gift from God. Her unwavering faith, kindness, and laughter brightened every life she touched. She also leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication through her care for animals and her work in pet services.
Rested at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street, Port Perry.
Information regarding a Celebration of Jenn’s Life will be shared soon through her “Jenn’s Journey” Facebook group.
In honour of Jenn’s passion for being Jesus’ hands and feet to the world, donations may be made in her memory to the Benevolence Fund at Emmanuel Community Church: https://pushpay.com/g/emmanuelcc.
Though our hearts ache, we rejoice in knowing Jenn is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, where we will one day be reunited.
