MARSHALL, Valerie Dolores (nee Craig) - (1937 - 2021) - Passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on her birthday, February 20, 2021, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Predeceased by her mother Erley and father William Craig Sr.
Beloved wife of Barrington, loving mother of Jacqueline, Karoline and Michelle, proud grandmother of Kevin, Vanessa, Amanda, Spencer and Nelson, delighted great grandmother of Zoe.
Valerie was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
She had a lifelong affiliation with her alma mater Montego Bay High School for Girls where she excelled in track and field and made many lifelong friends.
Valerie emigrated to England in the 1950’s and immigrated to Canada in 1967.
She spent her career working in the Ontario civil service.
In retirement, she enjoyed gardening, golfing, and traveling, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
She was elated to defy the odds and shoot a hole-in-one.
In light of Covid restrictions, there will be a small private funeral attended by immediate family.
