Ivan John Viscovic

May 12, 1939 - November 25, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan John Viscovic on November 25, 2024, with family by his side. Loving husband of Natalie, Božica for 57 years. Beloved father of Diana (Goran) Bebek, Doris (Tony) Quick, and cherished Dido of Franko (Jade) and Nono of Isaiah and Michael.

Ivan will be missed by his sister Romana (Angelo), predeceased by his sister Adelia (Šime), and brother Luciano and family. He is always lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews and extended family and friends in Canada, the U.S., Croatia, and Australia.

Ivan worked as a Mechanic and Welder and spent his free time playing soccer, fishing, and enjoying bocce ball at the Croatian club. He was also an avid fan of music, particularly Elvis Presley, and he cherished his time with his grandsons and family. Ivan will be remembered for his willingness to lend a hand, his sense of humor, and his love of life.

A special thank you to the staff at AgeCare Samac for their care and compassion during his last hours.

Visitation will be held at Thornton Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the People Parish, 570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ivan's memory to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Alzheimer Society of Canada.
