MUNRO, W. John - Passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 12, 2017, at Belleville General Hospital.
Beloved husband of Mary-Lou, for 57 wonderful years.
Dear father to Murray and Heather (John Velocci).
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Nicholas and Julianna Velocci, Elizabeth, Caroline and Liam Munro.
Predeceased by his parents Nelson and Agnes, his sister Jean Monahan and sister-in-law Nancy Harrison.
Fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Keith Harrison, and all the nieces, nephews, close family and friends.
John was an avid curler, golfer, enjoyed travel, and stimulating conversation.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Cassidy Funeral Home on Monday from 2-6pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Carthagh's Church, Tweed on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 11am.
Donations appreciated to the Heart of Hastings Hospice or Tweed Public Library.
