Aart Wagter
1946 ~ 2024

Aart Wagter, a beloved resident of Wallaceburg, Ontario, passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus, on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the age of 78. Born in Holland, Aart was the son of the late Alte and Gerritje (Zoet) Wagter. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Aart was the cherished husband and best friend of Kelly (Henry) Wagter, and a proud father to Elaina Millson (Ken), Krista Martens (Greg), and Kerri Tarr. He was the adored grandpa of Braydn, Elliott, Jaclyn, Leah, Dawson, and Nolan. Aart was also a dear brother to Nelgje Officer, Johanna Werkman (Menno), and Gerry Wagter (Joy), and is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Rene Wagter.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Aart’s Life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory to Pet and Animal Wildlife Rescue "PAWR" (c/o 405 Park Ave E, Chatham, ON N7M 3W4) would be appreciated.
