Allan Richard "Snake" Wakefield

1953 – November 4, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Allan Richard Wakefield, lovingly known as "Snake," on November 4, 2024, at the age of 71. Allan was the beloved partner of the late Vonda Wakefield (2024) and a devoted father to Kyla Greenbird, Leslie (Missy) Greenbird, Ashley Wakefield, Shana Wakefield, Aaron Wakefield, and daughter-in-law Krista. He is predeceased by two infant children.

Allan was a cherished grandfather to Tyler, Anthony, Summer, John "JD," Alicia (AJ), Theresa, Shayla (Robert) Legacy, Gabriella "Gabi" Xavier, Abby, Willow, Jordan, Steven, Chloe, and Isabella, and a great-grandfather to Zelda, Rose, Betty, Mason, Amelia, and Bryant. He is predeceased by the Wakefield twins and two great-grandchildren, Sophia and baby Greenbird-Major. Allan is survived by his siblings Ian Wakefield (Bev), Diane George, Lynda Smith (late Murray), Kathy George (Dan), and Roy Wakefield (Chris), and was predeceased by his parents, John Wakefield and Joyce Brown.

Known for his kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit, Allan was a cherished figure in his family. He loved spending time with family and friends, particularly his grandchildren, and was a passionate sports enthusiast. He was an avid collector, especially of Canadiens memorabilia, and had a deep love for travel and music.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Allan’s life at DENNING'S of FOREST on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. In honor of Allan’s love for sports, guests are encouraged to dress casually in their favorite sports jersey. Cremation has taken place.
