William Richard Ivens

August 5, 1931 - December 4, 2024

William Richard Ivens - passed away suddenly at his home in Bolsover on December 4, 2024, at the age of 93 years. William was predeceased by his wife Isobel. He was the dear father of Brian (Dawn) Ivens, Gary (Holly) Ivens, Debbie (Brad) Hunt, Randy (Sue) Ivens, and Mark (Tami) Ivens. Lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. William will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Bill worked in the family plumbing business from the age of 16. He obtained his Master Plumber’s License and eventually continued on to work with the Peel Board of Education from 1977 until he retired in 1993. He had an exceptional mind for mechanical engineering and could fix almost anything, perhaps after sleeping on it overnight.

A visitation will be held at Mangan Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a reception at the Beaverton Legion.
