Arlene Vida Warvill (nee Horan)

July 24, 1960 - December 1, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Arlene Vida Warvill. With her family by her side, Arlene passed peacefully at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

Arlene found joy in reading, being near the water, and spending time in her beautiful gardens. Above all, her family was her greatest treasure. Arlene was deeply loved by her husband, Mark, and her children Amanda (Ken), Lacie (Mike), and Shawn (Nicole). She adored her grandchildren Hailey, Emmett, Payton, Felix, Shea, Chloe, and Mara. Predeceased by her parents Carl and Thora (Jones) Horan, Arlene will be missed by her siblings Janice (predeceased Garry), Janeen (Paul), and Earl (Sherry), as well as her mother-in-law Opal (predeceased John), her siblings-in-law Cathy, Beth (Mel), and Margaret (Steve), and many nieces and nephews.

Despite the challenges Multiple Sclerosis brought into her life, Arlene maintained a positive mindset and strong will, never letting her condition prevent her from enjoying her life to the fullest. Her strength and determination will continue to inspire those who loved her. Charitable donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada in Arlene’s memory.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care, as well as to family and friends for their messages of love and support.

A private service will be held for the family. All family and friends are invited to celebrate Arlene’s life at the Beaverton Royal Canadian Legion, 517 Mara Rd, Beaverton, ON, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
