WATERTON, Glynn Stewart - Has gone home to be with his Lord, on Saturday, September 26th, 2015, at his farm.
He was in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Patricia Waterton (nee Kerr) and the late Lois Waterton (nee Johnson).
Father of Wendy Bachiu (Jerry), Ian Waterton (Dianne) and Keith Waterton (Teresa). Step-father of Cherri Campbell, Gary Carter (Michelle) and David Carter (Carey).
Missed by his grandchildren: Graeme (Jen), Kate (Matthew), Katrina, Carolynn, Amy and Jeremy and his step-grandchildren: Joey, Damian, McKenna, Logan & Mason.
Survived by his sisters, Roma (Mrs. Dave Taylor) and Lilamay (Mrs. Paul Thomson) and his brother, Roy Waterton (June). Predeceased by his two sisters, Maribell Waterton and Lois (Mrs. Ken Rusk) and his parents, Norman & Morna Waterton.
Glynn’s life was filled with family, faith and farming. He was a life-long member of the Woodford Baptist Church and active in church life as a deacon for many years.
Farming was not just his occupation but also his passion. He served on the board of the Pork Producers Marketing Board and was a Pioneer Seeds sales representative.Glynn was one of the first breeders of Gelbvieh cattle in Canada and was active in the Gelbvieh Association. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was happiest when surrounded by family.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250-14th Street West, Owen Sound on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Glynn Waterton will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, October 1st, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Young officiating. Interment in Annan.
