WHIDDEN, Marven Whidden - It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of Marven Arthur Whidden, 61 years young, of Bowmanville Ontario.

Forever loved by his wife of 39 years, Janice. Cherished, tough loving Dad of Jeff and Shannon (Danny). Loving grandfather to Chevy, whom the sun rose and set upon.

Beloved brother of Clyde (Cathy), Best Buds, 2 peas in a pod, forever connected in mind and spirit. Marven will be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.

Marven was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He spent many Saturday nights with friends at his bar “Beleafing” in a win for the team. Algonquin Park was his favourite place, not only for a bonfire & Budweiser, but to capture just 1 more picture of an elusive moose.

His interest in local politics peaked when he tried to run his black lab for mayor.

Who knew this would open the door to meeting many kind people and volunteering on several committees.

Thank you to the paramedics, firemen, doctors, and nurses at Bowmanville Hospital. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
