Doris Juliane Wickert

September 3, 1959 - November 30, 2024

Passed away suddenly but peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the age of 65, with her beloved children by her side. Doris was the loving daughter of Maria and Horst (1992) Wickert, cherished mother of Tonya and Tyler, and beloved Nana to Theodore and Anastasia.

Doris was the beloved sister of Monika (Scott), Susan (Peter), and Marcus (Christine) and a proud aunt to Siara (Stuart), Kelsey, Lisa, Anya (Nader), Vanessa (Drew), James, Connor (Judy), Patrick, Danielle, Isabelle, Taylor, and Daniel. She will be dearly missed by her family and close friends.

Fondly remembered for her love of the Toronto Maple Leafs and all things hockey, her passion for great rock music, her sassy no-nonsense attitude, and her infectious smile, Doris left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, her family kindly requests donations to the Lung Health Foundation to support further research on COPD.
