Franz Alois Wieser

Saturday, July 31st, 1943 - Sunday, December 8th, 2024

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Franz Alois Wieser, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, on December 8, 2024, at the age of 81.

Born in Vienna, Austria, on July 31, 1943, Franz's life was marked by a deep commitment to his family, community, and personal excellence. After moving to Canada, he met and married his true soulmate, Ursula, with whom he shared 46 years of love, companionship, and mutual support. Their partnership was a testament to what it means to be soulmates, growing together in love, respect, and joy.

Franz's life was built on a foundation of education, hard work, and philanthropy. He earned a degree in technology and became a master electrician, running his own successful company for many decades. In Vienna, Franz was a respected head paramedic, where he saved lives and delivered many babies, showcasing his compassion and expertise. Known for his humility, he quietly supported numerous charitable causes, leaving an indelible impact worldwide.

Franz had many passions, including astronomy, gourmet food, fine travel, and flying. His love of the universe, culture, and adventure exemplified his spirited approach to life. Known for his impeccable style and elegance, Franz brought warmth and kindness to everyone he met.

Above all, Franz was a man of integrity, honour, and generosity. His love, wisdom, and authenticity touched the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ursula; his children, Karina (Karen) married to Sam, and Michael; his granddaughter, Serafina; his nephew, Alexander Rausch; and many extended family members and dear friends.

A simple private family service will be held in his honour. Franz’s legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain a guiding light for all who knew him.

May he rest in peace in eternal paradise.
