Jeffers WilliamJEFFERS, William Cameron 'Bill'  -  Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on December 18th, 2015 at the age of 75.

Beloved husband and best friend of Carol Anne Jeffers (nee Walser) for 51 years.

Loving father of William (Jacqueline) of Toronto, Daniel (Gina) of Whitby, Jennifer Savel (Michael) of London and James (Angela) of Mississauga. Proud Grandpa of Emily, Bryan, Molly, Maggie, Grace, Jake, Nicholas, Katie, Lucas, Cameron, Morgan, Isla and the late Audrey.

Beloved brother-in-law of Daniel (Bridget) Walser, Blair (Nancy) Walser, Mary Jane Alexander (Bill), Pauline, Paulette, Barbara and Elizabeth Walser and Mary Walser.

Predeceased by his parents William and Isobel (nee Abbott) Jeffers and brother-in-law Gary Walser.

Bill graduated from CMR (1961) and RMC (1963) and served with the Royal Canadian Navy through postings to HMCS Crescent and HMCS Kootenay until June 1966. He then began a career as Mathematics Teacher, Head of Department and Mathematics Consultant for the Durham Board of Education. In 1980 he joined the Nuclear Generation Division (NGD) of the Production Branch of Ontario Hydro as a Technical Supervisor and then as Technical Superintendent.

In the 1990's he assisted in developing a program for outplacement of professional staff.

Bill retired in 1993 and then accepted a position as Head of Mathematics for Durham Region Separate School Board. He was proud that six of his students graduated from RMC.

Bill was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, a Fourth Degree Knight, Msgr Bench Assembly #0878 of Durham Region. He was a Charter Member and Past Grand Knight of Council #8611 and served as District Deputy of District #36, 1991-1993.

With thanks to Dr. M. Easterbrook, the Upper Grand Family Health Team, the 2nd Floor staff of Groves Memorial Hospital and the many PSW's from the Red Cross Care Partners for their dedicated and loving care. With thanks as well to St. Joseph's Outreach Services and the Fergus Day Out Centre where Bill enjoyed many happy times.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, December 21st from 2-5 and 6-8 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Parish prayers at 7:30pm Monday evening.

Funeral Mass 11 am on Tuesday, December 22nd at St. Mary's Church, 267 Geddes St., Elora, followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion, 110 Metcalfe St., Elora.

As expressions of sympathy donations to Alzheimer Society of Durham Region would be appreciated by the family.
