KEIGHLEY, William Daryl - March 6, 1933 - September 9, 2017
William Daryl Keighley was born on March 6, 1933 in Chilliwack, British Columbia to Ettie May Manery and Bedford Marcon Keighley.
A handsome and adventurous young man, he hitchhiked across Canada after relocating with his parents and brother (David Keighley) to Toronto. He was a hardworking family man. He left high school in grade 10 to help at home sometimes holding 2-3 jobs.
In 1953 while working at CBC he set his sights on a 17 year old colleague- Margaret Patricia Lowe who eventually fell in love with his charm. Pat and Daryl were married in 1956 and over the next several years would welcome three children Kathy, Tim (Carole) and Tracey (David).
A hard worker and dedicated employee he worked for Dalex Industries for over 45 years starting as an inventory clerk, then a sales manager and advancing to the role of Vice President.
Daryl loved his role as a parent and actively supported his children on as a baseball coach, on the pool deck as a swim meet official and by driving them all to 5 am swim practice six days a week. He was an extremely proud grandparent of his 6 grandchildren Brittney, Kelsey, Scott, Heather, Kealey and Katie.
On Saturday, September 9, 2017 his warm and loving heart gave out. A private celebration of life will be held.
