Woodhouse JimWOODHOUSE, James Edward 'Jim' - Lived a very full life into his 91st year. Due to the passing of their mother, Edith Wilkes, Jim and his siblings were adopted and Jim grew up in the Woodhouse family from the age of 2.

He was reunited with his brothers at age 75. He lived in both Toronto and Bobcaygeon as a youth. He served overseas in the war for 3 years. Dad courted and then married the love of his life, Patricia Woodhouse in June 1948.

Jim was a life-long do it yourself man who built his first home in Brantford Ontario with the support of his wife Pat and their two boys Ted and Paul.

Jim was hired by Bill Wagner for his first career position with Plastic Bottle Sales Ltd. This job took Jim and Pat to Downsview in 1954 where their daughter Louise was born.

Jim was a conscientious and loving father who always did the right thing for his family.

While living in Etobicoke Jim got back to his love for tennis. Pat and Jim met many lifelong friends in Markland Woods and at the Boulevard Club. Jim and Pat eventually moved to Thornbury where they spent 22 years overlooking Georgian Bay. Jim had traded in his first motorcycle for furniture when he was young but at 70 he bought a Suzuki Intruder 750 and continued to ride the country roads until he was 88.

Jim volunteered for hospice and spent many hours keeping others company. He was always considerate of the needs of others and was a gentleman through and through. He loved to read and saved many great sayings and stories including his favorite book, Everyday Greatness.

Jim is a father, grandfather and great grandfather to family all over Canada. Jim loved his family and particularly the love of his life Pat and they were married for an amazing 61 years. He will be missed by his many family members.

He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Lillian, and brother Jack Jolly, and is survived by sons Ted (Joanne, Irene), Paul (Laura), daughter Louise (Kim), grandchildren Jillian (Dave), Jarrett, Gavin, Sonja, Jackson, Cooper, great grandchildren Clayton and Walker, his step-brother Don Wilkinson and brother-in-law Morgan Sears.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday October 3rd 1:00pm at St George’s Anglican Church, Clarksburg Ontario. Social gathering after the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Campbell House in Collingwood.
