Jaime Marie Michelle Zaharias

September 14, 2004 – March 8, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jaime Marie Michelle Zaharias on March 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved daughter of Peter and Carole (née Arbour). Cherished sister of Peter (Megan), Erica (Mike), Gregory (Yovanka), and Bradley (Alanna). Proud aunt to Maximus, Alexander, Jameson, Elliot, Katelyn, and Beau. Jaime will also be deeply missed by her extended family and her many dear friends from Pickering High School.

Growing up in a large, loving family, Jaime was an outgoing, witty, and fiercely determined young woman. She excelled in athletics, playing rep hockey for the Durham Lightning, and treasured time spent with friends and family. At the age of 15, Jaime was diagnosed with stage 4 Ewing sarcoma and given a one-year prognosis. Through her resilience, grit, and unwavering courage, she defied all odds, enduring five years of treatments and scans. Her strength allowed her to experience a life filled with travel, skydiving, concerts, and the deep love she shared as a daughter, granddaughter, niece, aunt, sister, cousin, friend, and devoted cat mom to Chemo and Sophie. Jaime’s spirit, strength, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
