Janice Zuliani (Mateciuk)

October 23, 1953 - November 21, 2024

Peacefully at Hospice Windsor, surrounded by family, Janice Zuliani Mateciuk passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 71. She was a beloved sister to Alan (1999), Donna Legault, Joanne (John) Collins, and Carol Hebert, and a loving aunt to Jason (Amber), Melissa, Andrew, Curtis, Mitchell, Matthew, Bradley, Rachel, and their families.

Janice was predeceased by her parents, Orel (2008) and Viola (2018). She was a loving great-aunt to Alex, Makayla, Jay, and Danny, and her laughter, fancy cakes, and campfire fun will be dearly missed by all. Janice’s generous spirit and strong personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met, including her special friends Leigh-Ann, Michelle and Allan, Dr. John, Dr. Dean, and countless others.

As a Registered Nurse for 50 years, Janice was dedicated to her profession, spending much of her career in the emergency department at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus, and later at the Grand Marais Urgent Care Clinic after retiring from full-time work. Janice was also a devoted caretaker to many animals and leaves behind her cherished feline companion, Minnie.

In accordance with Janice’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. A celebration of life will take place in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Windsor, the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society, or the Salvation Army. Arrangements are entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (519-253-7234). Online condolences may be shared at www.windsorchapel.com.
